Hi, I'm building QRCodePrime. It started, like most useful things, out of frustration.
I needed a QR code for a menu I was redesigning. Simple enough. But every tool I tried either slapped a watermark on the free version, demanded I create an account before letting me see anything, or made me feel like the QR code was bait and the real product was an upsell email sequence. One tool required a credit card for something I needed in the next five minutes. I gave up and used a worse tool.
That stuck with me. QR codes are a solved problem. The technology is decades old, the specs are public, and generating one costs essentially nothing. So why is the experience so extractive? I decided to build something different: a generator that works instantly, gives you the full-quality file with no strings attached, and doesn't make you feel like a lead to be nurtured.
Honest answer: it isn't yet. I'm funding it myself while I build it. The plan is a straightforward freemium model. Everything most people need is free and will stay free: unlimited static QR codes, 10 dynamic QR codes per account, 500 scans per month tracked, full customization.
Paid plans will come later for teams and high-volume use, like agencies generating hundreds of codes, brands needing deep scan analytics, or businesses that want to embed their logo on every code and never think about limits. If that's you eventually, great. If you just need a QR code for your restaurant menu or business card right now, you're exactly who this is built for and it'll always be free for you.
No venture funding. No exit plan. No growth-hacking. Just a useful tool that works.
If something's broken, if you have a feature idea, or if you just want to say the tool saved you from a terrible afternoon, I'd genuinely love to hear it.
hello@qrcodeprime.comThanks for reading. Now go make something.
